And here’s what things looked like after that storm band passed through Naples. This was actually one of the least flooded spots in the area we drove through on the way back to our old neighborhood in the Unincorporated Territory (*cue that older guy from “Parks and Rec” creepily shouting “Unincorporated Territory!”).
Mind you this watery land is what it should look like around here (you know, the Everglades and all), but people like to drain and reform nature as they please… Nature just has a way of fighting back. (Wish more developers would actually build sustainable stilt homes around there….)
