The two girls were holding paws for the longest time until, of course, I pressed the button to take photos.
Maddie got into the garbage yesterday while I was taking care of some things and ate one or two garlic chicken wing leftovers I’d thrown away, intending on taking it right out to the large bin outside. Distracted by accidentally stabbing myself while cleaning, remembering I never got my tetanus shot again, which in turn made me remember I forgot to refill Zoe’s arthritis meds. Preoccupied, at least I had the people at the vet on the line. 😅 They kinda laughed since dogs do this all the time, and said my concern over the garlic would be more valid if there was a larger quantity but that the bone fragments were the biggest concern. So I spent our anniversary watching Maddie for emergency signs, which didn’t affect our plans as my husband already was stuck working all night by that point. And he had to get up at 4am today to get in early and deal with more. As I got up early to check on Maddie… who seems to be doing okay. Eating, drinking, playing, pooping fine so far.
Her and Zoe definitely figured out how to use the extra attention (Zoe just had surgery and needs more) to their advantage, though. Definitely smart little bitches, these two. (And not “birches”, auto-correct…).
