I seized so much for so long Friday through Saturday evening. Almost broke my husband’s toe at one point. Apparently bit him and one of the dogs when they tried to help, too. 😅 At least the random choking stopped rather quickly (my throat will sometimes mimic someone choking me during a seizure, and yes it is scary because I’ve completely stopped breathing before).
Oh, things that happen when your temporal lobe goes haywire…
Emergency meds finally calmed things down by dusk, but Cooper wanted me to go outside with him more than he wanted anything else. I was too exhausted and hurting to go, but he persisted and would not go without me. So I got a little more presentable, threw on my sandals, took what cannabis I could, then turned the corner to see a spectacular sight through the surrounding storm. He stopped along side me and we stared as he wagged his tail and danced. A vibrant, magical rainbow of sunset hues framing the view. Absolutely breathtaking.
Don’t know if he really knew to bring me to that scene or just wanted to show me a lizard or something, but we’ll go with the first one.
.
Of course, it also made me think of the debauchery and biting satire that could make up a very interesting “Wizard of Oz” parody, but we’ll save that for another rainy day. (Which I hope is today, because we need much more!)
Going to be looking for extra work soon, too. And not just my usual remote work, though that is preferred. I know that is hard to see since I just described some batshit crazy grand mals and partials, but those are actually super rare these days. And my treatment is expensive. 😳 (I didn’t start applying for disability quickly enough when we moved here and then I was stubborn saying I’d get better after I had seizure-free weeks so never applied, and now kicking myself because it takes forever to get approved… Ugh. You fellow Spoonies out there probably feel me on that…)
