Well, this was my day. How was yours? 😅
Everyone was too worried about me earlier to give you a nice shot of me covered in EKG stuff and other wires and testing devices and such before the gown and blanket went on over most of it, lol. Y’all could’ve made me meme! Lol. (Hey, have to joke about all this a bit…)
Made an appointment to get some spasms and palpitations checked out, ones I’d been writing off as seizure spasms and/or gas for the past five or so days. Dizzy, weak. After a week things were making me nervous. Didn’t want to bug Alan before a meeting he was excited about so I didn’t even tell him how bad I felt this morning. He knew it a bit and went in late (while working home for a bit first) but he had no idea I kept going into other rooms to basically fall over where he couldn’t see me. I decided to tell him I was going to the doctor once he left and would ask some friends if they were around to sit or walk with me. Then before he could even pull into his parking space at work, I had to give him the call that, hey so they’re making me go right to the #ER instead of my appointment so… Oh yeah and my phone is about to die so… Yeah.
I was about to call 911 since the neighbor who drives wasn’t around and I wasn’t sure walking 20 minutes to the hospital in my condition would be good. Alan already turned around, though, and snagged me out front.
It took a while to be seen because of that gas leak and evacuation over in Douglas, but it also allowed me to meet an awesome doctor who knew about medical cannabis (to the point he knew cannabinoids and terpenes) and the #Ketogenic diet – the one I need to start once I am set up with a nutritionist to help balance between my #IBS and #epileptic needs. Did all sorts of tests and thankfully no heart attack. Very bad chest #infection that, coupled with my partial #seizures, was mimicking symptoms. Gave me #ativan & a z-pack. Have to do some follow-ups. One thing that was interesting was when Alan would watch my #vitals while I’d have a seizure there, and a few times my breathing dropped like crazy. Saw little blips with the spasms, too. But oh, why couldn’t I have seizures when I had my last EEG though!? Lol.
